Pune station awarded ISO 14001-2015 certificate

Pune, June 25, 2019 : The railway administration is continuously making efforts to provide better services at the Pune station and better services to the passengers. The certificate has been awarded for making provision for environmental protection by construction of 160 MW of solar power generation, best lighting system of LED light, set up by the Persistent Foundation under CSR, and clean environment, proper water management, water waste recycling etc at Pune station.

The certificate has been issued by LMS Certification Limited, West Yorkshire. The activities of Pune station will have least effect on environment, this is the first step in this direction. Continuous improvements will be taken in this process, said railway officials.

Pune Divisional Railway Manager Mr. Milind Deouskar handed over the certificate to the Pune station director AK Pathak. On this occasion, Additional DRM Shri Praful Chandra, Senior DOM Shri Gaurav Jha, Public Relation Officer Mr. Manoj Jhawar were also present on the occasion.
