Pune Catering Association Demands Relaxation In Covid-19 Rules

Pune, March 22, 2021: Pune Catering Association has appealed to the government for relaxation in Covid norms. In their letter written to the Maharashtra state government, the association demanded permission for more guests to attend wedding ceremonies. 

Suresh Mali, President of the New Pune Catering Association sent a letter regarding the demands to the state government. “10 square feet space is required for safety per person according to health norms, the government can extend this limit up to 25 square feet, We are ready to accept. However, only 50 guests are permitted in wedding ceremonies which are not acceptable. The Government should give permission to more guests with respect to the accommodation at respective wedding Halls,” the letter states.

Mali said, “Wedding and allied industries are suffering badly because of losses due to the Covid epidemic for the second subsequent year. The government has given permission to malls, theatres with 50 percent occupancy. Hence, it should apply to the wedding industry as well.”
