Baroda (Gujarat), 24th May 2021: People give up to $ 200 to embrace a cow in America because it is peaceful. The condition of the country and the world is currently tizzy due to the second wave of Coronavirus. People are constantly losing their lives and have been imprisoned in homes under lockdown to prevent infection.
In such a situation, the problem of depression and anxiety is becoming very common. People are trying to overcome it in their ways, but a unique trick has been devised in America and Europe. People are embracing cows i.e. hugging cows for mental peace. They are paying up to $ 200 for this.
Congress leader Milind Deora has shared a CNBC video saying that people in the US are paying up to $ 200 an hour to hug a cow. He wrote that it is clear that India is ahead in this as cows have been worshipped here for 3000 years.
Hugging cows not only relieves stress but keeping a pet is very beneficial for mental health as well. By the way, the tradition of caressing and embracing a cow, in India, is quite old. Now, this trend is increasing in the world.
Doctors say that the feeling of hugging a cow is similar to raising a child or pet at home. A Hug Happy hormone triggers oxytocin, serotonin, and dopamine, which reduce cortisol (stress hormone). It reduces stress levels, anxiety, and depression symptoms.
A cow is calm, gentle, and patient by nature thus, the hugger benefits from the animal’s warm body temperature, slow heartbeat, and large size. All of this helps regulate the body’s metabolism, immunity, and stress response.
