Standing committee to get right to lease our amenity spaces in Pune?

Pune: August 7, 2021: In view to create public amenity spaces in the city, a proposal to lease out such spaces for 30 years was put before the Standing Committee.

The proposal if approved will give rights to Standing Committee to lease out the spaces. Earlier, it was decided the municipal Commissioner will be given the rights to lease out the spaces. However, after it was put before city development committee, it was decided that the tenders issued for it will come before Standing Committee for its approval.

According to the building norms, so far amenity spaces developed over 148 hectares of land are under PMC control. It includes ground, parks, schools, hospital, clinics, fire-brigade, police stations among others.
