Pune, 18th November 2025: Some recipes aren’t just remembered, they’re lived, and passed down through generations. The Tamil Table at Sheraton Grand Pune is born from that memory, where Chef Shankar revisits his grandmother’s kitchen to recreate the dishes that shaped his childhood.

The journey begins with Panakam and Nannari Sharbat, traditional coolers that awaken the palate with the familiar sweetness of home. Followed by the comforting warmth of Pepper Rasam and Murungakkai Soup, and the crisp delight of Vengai Vadai, each dish carries the soul of Tamil hospitality.

Seafood takes centre stage with fiery Eral Chettinad Prawns Roast, live-grilled Meen Varuval, and spiced Kanava Roast, dishes that echo the rhythm of the coast. From the inland kitchens come hearty curries, Crab Curry, Mutton Kozhambu, Panni Curry, Tomato Pappu, and Katrikai Sambar, served alongside comforting Poriyal and Vegetable Kurma.

No Tamil feast is complete without biryani, the famed Ambur and Thalapakatti, paired with flaky Kottu Paratha, Kal Dosa, Nilgiri Dosa, and Nool Paratha with fragrant Korma.

To end, the sweetness of home lingers with Pal Payasam, Paruppu Payasam, and Sakkarai Pongal, each bowl steeped in nostalgia.

Every plate at The Tamil Table is more than a recipe, it’s a memory reborn, a taste of Tamil Nadu’s warmth, and a celebration of tradition, right here in the heart of the West.
