A Ghazal-Led Evening at Swar Milan with Minu Bakshi’s first Performance in Pune
Pune, 17th August 2026: Renowned ghazal singer Minu Bakshi, known for her distinctive style and performances alongside several internationally acclaimed artists, performed in Pune, at Swar Milan, a music program organised by Sri Indradeo Center for Performing Arts. Her renditions of popular ghazals got the audience emerged as one of the highlights of the evening.
Minu Bakshi presented ghazals including ‘jhuki jhuki si nazar’ ‘Dayar-a-dil’, ‘Ishq mein ghairat-e-jazbaat ne rone na diya’ and ‘ Aj Jane ki zid na karo’. She was accompanied by Ganesh Mehra on keyboard, Ghulam Sabir on tabla and Manas Gosavi on esraj.
Another major presentation of the evening was ‘Tridha’, featuring Padma Shri Pt. Vijay Ghate and Kathak dancer Sheetal Kolwalkar. The performance included the vocal, instrumental and dance jugalbandi presenting Krishna Vandana, ‘Baje Re Muraliya Baje Re’, and a jugalbandi of tabla and Kathak in Rupak taal, featuring Thaat and footwork. They were accompanied by Abhishek Shinkar on harmonium, Suranjan Khandalkar on vocals and Sagar Patokar on padhant.
The program also featured a classical presentation by Shakir Ali Khan, who performed in Raag Jhinjhoti, presenting alap, toda and two bandishes in Jhaptaal and Teentaal. Mohsin Ali Khan presented Raag Yaman, as a duet with Shakir Ali Khan. They were accompanied by Amit Bhushan on tabla.
