  • ‘Holi Ke Rang, Thumri Ke Sang’ – a theme based concert by Pt. Kaivalyakumar on the occasion of ‘Holi’

Pune, 23rd March: City based NGOKalanubhav Charitable Trust that provides guidance as well as renders a platform for the young people who wants to cultivate and express their hobbies and arts while offering them a proper guidance, support and a pat on the back, will be arranging a musical program on the upcoming occasion of ‘Holi’. Titled as Holi Ke Rang, Thumri Ke Sang’ this program will be organised on coming Saturday, 26th March 2016 at 5.30pm at ‘Tilak Smarak Mandir’, Pune. This information was provided today by Bharati Barhate, trustee of Kalanubhav Charitable Trust.

This program will feature renowned vocalists Pt. Kaivalyakumar, a leading exponent of Kirana Gharana with a rich multigenerational lineage. He will be accompanied by Rohit Marathe on Harmonium and Prashant Pandav on Tabla. This theme based music concert will present classical as well as semi classical vocal music based on the theme of Holi to viewers. Also, a musical CD of Pt. Kaivalyakumar titled as ‘Thumari’ will be released on this evening.

Trained by his father late Pt. Sangmeshwar Gurav, Pt. Kaivalyakumar is a treasure house of extraordinary compositions (bandish). He hails from Dharwad, Karnataka and now settled in Pune. Endowed with a melodious, fluid and high pitched voice, Pt. Kaivalyakumar has enthralled the audiences in his various stage performances in India and abroad. His rendition of Raagas is marked by natural phirat, murki, rigorous tans, infallible rhythm, imaginative content and aesthetic approach to raagas.

The tickets at a very nominal price will be available at the office of SEED Infotech located at Income Tax Lane, Prabhat Road, Pune. The viewers may also buy them at the venue from on the day of the event.
