ACB Arrests Assistant Police Inspector, Constable Of Pimpri Chinchwad Police For Demanding Rs 1.5 Lakh Bribe

The trap case was initiated based on a complaint filed by a 48-year-old female complainant against Assistant Police Inspector Amol Korde, Constable Sagar Shelke and a civilian Sudesh Navale.
The complainant alleged that the accused demanded a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakh to avoid filing a case of extortion against her. The complainant had borrowed the money from acquaintances and taken a loan from a bank. When she failed to repay the installments of the bank loan, she was threatened with a case of extortion. Frustrated with the situation, she approached the ACB and lodged a complaint against the accused public servants.
After verifying the complaint, the ACB team consisting of Deputy Superintendent of Police Madhuri Bhosle, Police Inspector Pravin Nimbalkar, and police personnel Navnath Walke, Saurabh Mahashabde, Shilpa Tupe and Pandurang Mali conducted an investigation. They found evidence to support the complainant’s allegations, including audio recordings and corroborative statements. Public servants Korde and Shelke were found to be colluding with private individual Navale in demanding the bribe.
The trap was set for the accused today at the complainant’s residence in Sector No. 27, Pradhikaran Nigdi, Pune. As per the plan, the complainant handed over the bribe amount of Rs 1.5 lakh to Navale, who accepted it. The ACB team swiftly detained the three accused after the bribe was exchanged.
Now an FIR has been registered against the accused at Nigdi police station.
