Accident Claims Life of Pune Youth on His Way to Mountain Climbing Expedition

Narhe, 8th January 2024: A young man’s aspirations for a mountain climbing expedition were abruptly cut short as he lost his life in an accident. Shubham Vilas Phad, a 23-year-old resident of Narhe, Pune, succumbed to serious injuries sustained when his bike was struck by an unidentified speeding vehicle. The incident occurred on Saturday morning on the Narhe flyover, marking a devastating end to Shubham’s journey.

Shubham Vilas Phad, described as a 23-year-old enthusiast preparing for competitive examinations and passionate about mountain climbing, met with a fatal accident while on his way to Lonavla for a trekking expedition.

The incident took place around 8 a.m. on the Wadgaon Budruk flyover, where Shubham, riding towards Lonavala, was struck by a speeding vehicle. The impact of the collision resulted in serious injuries, ultimately leading to Shubham’s untimely demise.

A case has been registered at the Sinhagad Road Police Station against the unknown driver, based on a complaint filed by Milind Phad, Shubham’s uncle. The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident fled the scene without informing the police, prompting legal action against them.
