Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital honored motherhood with the “Queen Contest”
Saturday, 14th July, 2018: Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital, Pune, Maharashtra’s first Joint Commission International (JCI), USA and NABH accredited Hospitalhonored the spirit of motherhood with ‘The Queen Contest’ a unique initiative to bring together new and expected mothers to grace the ramp. The grand fashion show witnessed more than 200 registrations amongst which 100 new and expecting mothers walked the ramp to be the Queen of their “Naya Mehmaan” at the Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital’s auditorium.
The participants beamed with pride as they graced the ramp in their best of attires in front of panel of judges including Ms. Aarti Rane, PR Head, Jehangir Hospital; Ms. Corina Manuel, Chief Editor, Femina Pune; Dr. Sujata Rawat, Chief of Clinical Services, SBI. The event was witnessed by an audience of more than 300, including families of the participants.
“Motherhood is a beautiful feeling. The entire journey from the time a woman and her family knows about the child to the time they hold their little bundle of joy in their hand is beautiful. We wanted to celebrate and honor this journey of new and expecting mothers and make it a special one”, shared Ms. Rekha Dubey, CEO, Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital. “A woman’s body undergoes lot of hormonal and physical changes. While honoring and celebrating their spirit, this contest also builds self confidence amongst these mothers to accept themselves and celebrate it and not shy away of their size”, she further added.
“I really liked the idea of this event and the prize is very relevant for all new and expecting mothers like me. Delivery expense is an important factor which many of us consider while planning a child. It is so exciting that you get completely free delivery on winning”, shared one of the participants from the expected mom category of the Queen Contest 2018.
The winners in the ‘Expected Moms’category were awarded with the hospital services like ‘Free Delivery’ as 1st Prize, 50% & 25% off on Delivery for 2nd and 3rdprize winner. For “New Mom”category the 1stprize winnerwas given free consultation with Gynecologist andPediatrician for a year for both mother and baby. 2nd and 3rdprize winner received 50% & 25% off on consultation respectively. The concept was well appreciated by the audience and participants. Overwhelmed with the response, the organizers concluded the event with a promise to make this an annual affair.
