After pregnant woman found COVID positive, Baner society sealed by PMC
Baner (Pune), May 21, 2020: A 36-year-old pregnant woman from Baner has been detected with Coronavirus on Wednesday evening. Now the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has sealed the housing society where she lived and swab samples of her close contacts are being collected for COVID test.
According to PMC officials, her family members were shifted to Sahyadri Hospital in Bopodi for examination and will be quarantined at the flat till the report of their examination is received. Also, the woman was taken to Sonawane Hospital in Bhavani Peth for treatment as she is pregnant and further treatment is underway.
As the housing society has been sealed, people will not be allowed to go out. Also, nobody from outside will be allowed entry there. Barricades have been put up at the society gate. Arrangements have been made for the supply of essential commodities. The society has been sanitized and the residents have been appealed to strictly follow the rules of lockdown.
