Ahilyanagar, 30th December 2024: The Rotary Club of Ahmednagar Central (RCAC), RID 3132, is proud to host the “Advance Neonatal Neuro Critical Care Training Program” under the Global Grant GG2460452, an initiative aimed at addressing critical neonatal health challenges and equipping doctors with advanced training in neurocritical care. The program will take place at the Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences, Loni, on 2nd January 2025.

The Urgency of Neonatal Neuro Critical Care

Birth Asphyxia—a condition where a newborn is deprived of oxygen at birth—remains one of the leading causes of neonatal mortality and long-term neurological complications. It often results in Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE), a serious condition causing brain injury due to oxygen deprivation. Despite advances in medical care, HIE accounts for significant neonatal deaths and disabilities, especially in resource-limited settings. Early detection and intervention are critical for improving survival rates and preventing lifelong disabilities.

This program is a vital step toward empowering healthcare professionals to address such neonatal challenges through advanced training, enhancing care, and promoting neonatal health outcomes.

RCAC’s Commitment to Future Generations

The Rotary Club of Ahmednagar Central (RCAC) has consistently demonstrated its commitment to the betterment of society, particularly in the areas of maternal and child health.
