AICTE CII ranks Suryadatta Institute of Management & Mass Communication (SIMMC) in Platinum Category for 2nd Consecutive Year
· Suryadatta Institute of Management (SIMMC) got the honor of being amongst the top 21 Emerging Management Institutions in India which is selected as Platinum Category by AICTE–CII Survey of Industry-Linked Technical Institutes 2016.
The results of AICTE–CII Survey of Industry-Linked Technical Institutes 2016 were announced recently in November 2016. Suryadatta Institutes of Management and Mass Communication (SIMMC) was categorized in the PLATINUM category for the Second Consecutive year.
A total of 160 well established Management Institutes all over India participated in this year’s survey. The parameters considered included – Curriculum, Faculty, Governance, Infrastructure, Placements and Services/Project Skills.
As per the National level categorization of Institutes based on their objective scored achieved, Management Institutes are grouped into three separate categories i.e. Platinum, Gold and Silver.
The Report reveals that Platinum Institutes are involved with industry through curriculum, particularly through industrial visits for students. A significant number of faculties have received training from industry in Platinum category institutes while no such faculty-industry interaction was seen in Silver category institutes.
Further, Platinum category institutes are far more likely to receive funding from industry towards the cost of their centres and units. Platinum institutes are also far more likely to involve industry in their Board of Governors or Advisory Councils and to report placement success for their students.
