Country liquor, spirit worth Rs 20 lakhs seized
Pune – A whopping whopping 53 jerry cans of country liquor and 10 cans of spirit was seized by the State excise department at various locations in the city on Saturday. The department also compounded six four wheelers and one two wheeler which was being used for transport of the illicit liquor.
The total worth of seized goods including the vehicle is estimated to be around Rs 20 lakh.
The recovery took place in Katraj, Dhankawadi and Bibvewadi.
The cases are being investigated further.
