AIM for Seva (All India Movement for Seva) is an integrated community development program, reaching out to rural and tribal children across India. A not-for- profit organization founded by Pujya Swamiji Dayananda Saraswati in the year 2000, AIM for Seva’s mission is to make educational facilities accessible to the underprivileged children in rural India. It provides 360 degree support (24 X 7 X 365) for children to continue their schooling, through our Free Student Hostels (FSH). AIM for Seva is organizing their annual fundraiser – Antar Yatra, The Journey Within on 18 th July, Monday at 7PM, at Tilak Smarak Auditorium, Tilak Rd, Sadashiv Peth, Pune. All proceedings from the sale of donor passes will go towards educating children. Choreographed and directed by Sharmila Biswas, of the Odissi Vision & Movement Centre, Calcutta, this dance-drama will tour seven cities (Chennai – Pune – Mumbai – Kolkata – Delhi -Bangalore – Bhuvaneshwar). Antar -Yatra gives the audience a glimpse to the inner world of the women dancers of India. Antar-Yatra is about their tentative journey, of conflicting thoughts and emotions … in the magical world they believe in and create. Using Odissi, Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi, the performers attempt to capture the life and the artistic vision and the inner domain of the women dancers of India, from the past to the present. “I am seeking to bring out the inner domain, the aatma speaking of course, from the point of view of women traditional artistes and taking recourse to three classical dance forms, Kuchipudi, Odissi and Bharatanatyam,” explains the choreographer-
director Sharmila Biswas.
