AIT Pune Unveils Alumni Association Logo; Military Leaders and Graduates Attend Ceremony
Dighi, 18th June 2026: In a significant milestone for the Army Institute of Technology (AIT) and its alumni community, the official logo of the AIT Alumni Association was unveiled on Thursday at the institute’s campus in Pune.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the college management, faculty members, and distinguished alumni, marking an important step towards strengthening the bond between the institute and its growing global alumni network.
The event was graced by Major General Parvinder Singh Sidhu, VSM, Chief Signal Officer, Headquarters Southern Command, and Major General Uday Sengupta, Director of the Army Institute of Technology. The institute’s Principal and Training and Placement Officer (TPO) were also present.
The alumni community was represented by distinguished graduates, including Brigadier Nishanth Solanki (Batch of 1998), Colonel Bharat Bhalla (Batch of 2001), and Nitish Rai (Batch of 2009).
The newly unveiled logo symbolises the formal identity and collective aspirations of the AIT Alumni Association. It reflects the enduring connection between AIT and its alumni, who continue to make significant contributions across the Armed Forces, industry, entrepreneurship, research, academia, and public service.

Speaking on the occasion, participants highlighted the vital role of alumni associations in fostering a strong institutional ecosystem. Alumni serve as mentors, role models, industry connectors, recruiters, and ambassadors for the institute. Their continued engagement helps bridge the gap between academia and industry while creating opportunities for current students through mentorship, internships, placements, scholarships, and professional guidance.
The AIT Alumni Association aims to create a vibrant platform that connects graduates across generations, encourages collaboration, promotes professional networking, and facilitates meaningful contributions to the institute’s growth and development.
The association also seeks to support initiatives related to student development, innovation, entrepreneurship, research, infrastructure enhancement, and industry partnerships.
The unveiling of the logo marks the beginning of a new chapter in the journey of the AIT Alumni Association. With the support of the institute’s management, faculty, students, and its global alumni community, the association envisions building a stronger and more engaged network that will contribute to AIT’s continued excellence and future growth.
