Ahmednagar, January 30, 2021: Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has been vigilant about corona since the beginning and has time and again urged everyone to do so as well. Pawar was vexed to see people without masks at a function held at Wambori in Rahuri taluka today.

He inaugurated the Chief Minister’s Solar Power Project at Wambori in Rahuri taluka. Minister of State Prajakta Tanpure was also present on the occasion. Speaking at the meeting, Pawar commented on the Corona crisis and the economic crisis it has brought to the state.

Pawar said, “Everyone had faced problems due to Corona and the lockdown. The state government took steps to find a way out of this and provided adequate health facilities too. However, the rate of economic growth slowed down during this period. The flow of money into the government treasury has decreased. The central government owes Rs 25,000 crore. Yet our Mahavikas Aghadi government is a government that keeps its word. We will continue the work with available money.

The biggest expenditure of the state government is on salaries and pensions. It costs around Rs 12,000 crore every month. After that, the development work is done with the remaining money. The crisis of Corona is not over yet, so everyone needs to take care. Even in this program, there are many without masks. Do use a mask because the second wave of Coronavirus has hit Britain and the situation is worse there. So everyone needs to be very careful.”

In this meeting, Pawar had indirectly mocked Madhukar Pichard, a senior leader from Akola. Pawar said, “Nagar and Pune districts gave great strength to the NCP. Pune gave ten MLAs while Nagar gave seven MLAs. In Akola, those who left the party at that time were defeated. Most of the MLAs elected in Nagar district are young. MLA Tanpure also got the post of Minister of State. When I became the new Minister of State, I had only three posts. Now Tanpure has many more posts. She should use it as much as possible in the constituency where the party has MLAs. The Nagar district has given us plenty. Now it is our responsibility to look after their interests.”
