Alia Bhatt, producing her first film with Shah Rukh Khan, announced the teaser for ‘Darlings’

New Delhi Alia Bhatt has announced her first home production film after becoming a producer, moreover, this production is in collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan, whom she also worked with in ‘Dear Zindagi’ (2016). She and Khan shared the teaser of the film on their social media. Alia has chosen the dark comedy theme of her debut home production film.
Alia announced the film through social media, writing – “This one’s special! Announcing Darlings, my first ever production under Eternal Sunshine Productions, in association with my favorite Shah Rukh Khan and Red Chilies Entertainment!” Alia announced the star cast of the film. The Darlings will feature Shefali Shah, Vijay Verma, Roshan Mathew, and herself in the lead, directed by Jasmeet K. Rene. The teaser begins with a warning – “insulting women can be very harmful to your health.”
On the other hand, Shah Rukh shared the teaser and wrote- “Darlings, life is difficult, but so are you… both! Unleashing our Darlings onto the world… caution is advisable. PS-yeh comedy thodi dark hai.”
Alia Bhatt worked with Shah Rukh Khan in the 2016 film Dear Zindagi. Shah Rukh played the role of a psychiatrist in the film, while Alia played an emerging cinematographer. The film portrayed the ups and downs of the cinematographer’s mental health and love life. The film was produced by Gauri Khan, Karan Johar, and Gauri Shinde. Gauri was also the director of the film. Alia is currently busy completing her film ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ (dir. Sanjay Leela Bhansali). The film is set to on July 30 2021.
