All-Party Representatives Push for Pune-Nashik Rail Line, Meeting with Railway Minister Planned

Manchar, 4th March 2025: A meeting will soon be held with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw to expedite the operationalization of the Pune-Nashik semi-high-speed railway line. This decision was approved during a meeting of all-party representatives in Mumbai on Tuesday (March 4), former Cooperation Minister Dilip Walse Patil informed.

Agriculture Minister Manikrao Kokate, along with MLAs Amol Khatal and Satyajit Tambe, attended the meeting focused on the Pune-Nashik railway project. The discussion centered on the proposed railway route passing through Rajgurunagar, Manchar, and Narayangaon, with some participants advocating it as the most viable option.

A follow-up meeting is scheduled this week with Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to accelerate the decision-making process.

Walse Patil stated, “Regular meetings and follow-ups will be conducted through the state government to ensure the timely completion of the railway project, which will significantly benefit passenger transport and agricultural trade in the region.”
