All Passengers And Crew Safe As Air India Flight Suffers Minor Windshield Crack During Pune-Delhi Route
Pune, 19th April 2023: An Air India flight from Pune to Delhi declared a full emergency on Tuesday after experiencing a minor windshield crack. The pilot requested priority landing at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, and all 180 passengers and crew onboard were reported to be safe upon landing.
The flight, operating under the code AI858, departed from Pune at 3:55 pm and arrived in Delhi at 6:20 pm as per Air India’s official website. The aircraft will undergo necessary maintenance at Delhi Airport, including a windshield replacement.
The airline has not released any further information regarding the incident, but the timely action taken by the pilot and airport authorities ensured a safe landing for all passengers and crew onboard.
