Ambegaon Taluka: 200 Beds Sub-District Hospital To Be Set Up At Tambademala

Manchar, 2 March 2021: The current sub-hospital will be upgraded to 200 beds and it will be built on 14 acres of land at Tambademala in Ambegaon taluka of Pune district. State Labor Minister Dilip Walse Patil inspected the required space.

Ambegaon-Junnar Sub-Divisional Officer Sarang Kodalkar, Sharad Bank Chairman Devendra Shah, Ambegaon Taluka Panchayat Samiti Chairman Sanjay Gawari, Deputy Chairman Santosh Bhor, Tehsildar Rama Joshi, Block Development Officer Jalindar Pathare, Public Works Department Executive Engineer Bappa Bahir, Sub-District Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Ambadas Devmane, Survey Officer Ambadas Gangurde, Circle Officer Deepak Madke were also present.

Considering the growing population of Ambegaon taluka and Manchar city, Manchar sub-district hospital had sent a proposal to the state government as per the suggestion of Walse Patil.

Accordingly, a team from the health department and the state government had come to Manchar sub-district hospital. But since the existing space not sufficient, therefore the revenue department has searched for a new site and the local health department has stated that the site at Tambademala is suitable.

Walse Patil inspected the actual site and map of the land records department with the administration officials. “The land adjacent to Gorakhnath Hill at Tambademala is suitable. This place is useful and convenient for patients to come and go. In future, it will be convenient to expand the sub-district hospital. The Revenue and Health Department should immediately send the site proposal to the State Government through the District Collector”, he said.

Dr Ambadas Devmane, Medical Superintendent of the Sub-District Hospital, Manchar, said that the current hospital will be converted into a women’s hospital soon. “At the new sub-district hospital, there will be intensive care, accident, separate eye departments at Tambademala. 12 senior specialist doctors will be working there”, he said.
