New Delhi, 16th August 2022: Amul and Mother Dairy have increased the price of their milk by Rs 2 per litre. The new rates will be applicable from August 17.

The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation produces and sells milk and dairy products under the brand Amul.

Amul has increased the price of milk in all markets including Ahmedabad, Saurashtra, Delhi, NCR, West Bengal, Mumbai and Gujarat.

Earlier in March this year, Amul and other brands had increased the price of their milk.

Mother Dairy has also announced an increase of Rs 2 per litre in the price of milk from Wednesday. The company attributed this to an increase in procurement and cost.

Mother Dairy is a major supplier in Delhi-NCR and the company sells 3 million litres of milk every day through poly packs and vending machines.

In its official statement on Tuesday, the company said that it is constrained to increase the price of milk by Rs 2 per litre with effect from August 17, 2022.

The price of full cream milk of Amul and Mother Dairy brands will now increase from Rs 59 per litre to Rs 61 per litre. The cost of toned milk will be Rs.51 a litre, so for double-toned milk, one will have to pay Rs.45.
