An Opportunity to Experience the Mythological Grandeur of ‘Dashavatara’ for Punekars!

Pune, February 12, 2024: Punekars can now delve into the musical drama coming all the way from Konkan’s traditional folk theatre form of ‘Dashavatara.’ This mythological magnificence is being organized by the city’s Tatyasaheb Natu Foundation on Saturday, 17th February at Tilak Smarak Mandir at 5 pm. A young and renowned Kirtankara, Bhavarth Dekhane will be the Chief Guest of the event.

The program is free and open to all, on a first-come, first-served basis. However, some seats will be reserved for the invitees.

While giving more information about the same, Tatyasaheb Natu Foundation’s Chief Trustee; Sharang Natu said, “Konkan has been blessed with a tradition of a rich cultural heritage of the ‘Dashavatara.’ And it is very much cherished by the Konkani people. We’ve organized this musical drama so that the Pune enthusiasts can also experience this traditional folk theatre form of ‘Dashavatara.’”

He also informed that the story of ‘Rambhakt Jambuvant’ will be performed during the ‘Dashavatra’ by the artists of the Naik Dashavatar Theatre Troup from Dodamarg, Sindhudurg.
