Pune: Andharban Trek and Kundalika Valley Reopen with Strict Entry Caps, Online Booking Mandatory

Pune/Thane, 12th August 2025: Nature lovers can once again explore the scenic Andharban Trek and Kundalika Valley, as the Forest Department has reopened both eco-tourism hotspots under the Sudhagad Wildlife Sanctuary with strict visitor limits and mandatory online booking.

Closed since July 3 due to monsoon overcrowding and environmental concerns, the sites are now operating under new regulations to balance tourism with conservation. Only a fixed number of visitors will be allowed daily, and walk-in entries have been banned.

Booking Process:
Reservations can be made exclusively through booking.andharban.org. Visitors must select their preferred date, upload valid ID (Aadhaar or PAN), complete the online payment, and obtain a QR-coded receipt sent via email or WhatsApp for entry verification.

Visiting Rules-

-Entry: 6:00 a.m.–11:30 a.m. (no late entries)
-Exit: By 4:30 p.m.
-Plastic control: ₹50 refundable deposit per plastic item brought in, refunded on return.
-Guide: Hiring a registered tour guide is compulsory.
-Weekly closure: Mondays

The Forest Department has urged visitors to respect the rules to protect the sanctuary’s fragile ecosystem while enjoying its natural beauty.
