Annwesa Singh from Pune performs Kathak in London

Pune, 7th July 2025: Kathak dancer Annwesa Singh from Pune was invited to the event jointly organised by the The Nehru Centre, London and the High Commission Of India in London. The Nehru Centre promotes cultural exchange between India and the United Kingdom. For the past 33 years, the organisation has sought to facilitate and deepen cultural dialogue between India and the United Kingdom by encouraging leading Indian artists to visit the United Kingdom and leading British artists to visit India.

This year, Annwesa Singh performed her concept-based ‘Shuddha Nritya’ at the event organised by the Nehru Centre. In the beginning, she performed Ganesh Vandana in the Kathak style. Her attractive footwork while presenting the Taal and Tatkaar mesmerised the audience. Later, Annwesa won the hearts of the audience with her rhythmic dance by performing ‘Todes’ and ‘Tukde’. Annwesa concluded the program by presenting the emotions, love, joy and separation of Radha and Krishna through her lively dance and acting.
