Pune: Outstanding Achievements by Indian Army Boxers at 2025 World Cup in Kazakhstan
Pune, 7th July 2025: Indian Army men and women boxers continued their dream run in the recently concluded 2025 World Cup Boxing Championship Phase II. It was an excellent exposure for the boxers who represented the National Boxing team which saw a total of 29 countries and more than 400 boxers competing. A total of 8 boxers of ASI, Pune participated which included 6 men and 2 women boxers. The spectacular performance of the boxers throughout the competition resulted in four podium finish which includes two gold medals , Nb Sub Jasmine (57Kg) and Hav Sakshi (54 Kg), one silver medal for Hav Jugnoo (80 Kg) and one Bronze medal for Sub Narender (+90 Kg) .
Nb Sub Jasmine and Hav Sakshi were inducted in the Indian Army in 2022 and has been training at ASI, Pune since then. Nb Sub Jasmine has also proved her metal in CWG 2022 England by winning bronze medal. The nurturing and relentless guidance of these women boxers has been their backbone for the success.
This remarkable achievement stands testament to the effectiveness and success of Mission olympics Programme, a flagship initiative of Mission Olympics wing of Indian Army.
The success of these boxers underscores the potential for future growth and achievements in the sporting the will of Indian Army in nurturing the future talent of the nation. The boxers are now focussed for the upcoming next edition of World Championship to be held in Liverpool scheduled in September 2025.
