Anupama Star Rupali Ganguly Seeks Rs 50 Crore In Defamation Case Against Stepdaughter Isha Verma
Mumbai, 13th November 2024: For quite some time, the matter regarding Anupama serial actress Rupali Ganguly and her stepdaughter Isha Verma has been on the news. The actress’s stepdaughter had made many allegations against her, after which Rupali, fed up, filed a defamation case of ₹50 crore against her.
Till now Isha had maintained silence on the matter but now she has finally reacted to it. Isha had come out on social media for the last few days and made many serious allegations against Rupali and her father Ashwin Verma. In such a situation, on Monday (11th November), Rupali filed a defamation case of ₹50 crore against her. Now Isha has not given any statement on this at the moment but she has made her Instagram account private.
Along with this, she also deleted the video in which she had wept and alleged that she did not feel safe around Rupali Ganguly. In the video shared on 10th November, Isha Verma spoke against her father and Rupali and called them troublemakers. She alleged that her father did not support her, initially he was not even able to protect her. Apart from this, reportedly he also made fun of Isha’s mental health.
After this, Rupali’s lawyer Sana Rais sent a legal notice to Isha demanding a compensation of ₹50 crore for ‘defaming’ her character and personal life. The legal notice was sent in response to Isha’s ‘false and damaging statements’ and the step was taken to protect Ganguly’s reputation. It is also said that Rupali wanted to maintain silence on the matter, but due to her and Ashwin Verma’s 11-year-old son being dragged into the matter, Rupali was forced to send a defamation notice.
