Appeal to OBC, EBC, and DNT Students to Apply for ‘Top Class Education’ Scheme Before September 30

Pune, 26th September 2025: The Central Government has issued guidelines for the effective implementation of the “Top Class Education” scheme under the Pradhan Mantri Yashasvi Yojana. The initiative aims to support students from Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), and Denotified and Nomadic Tribes (DNT) studying in reputed schools and colleges across Maharashtra.

Eligible students currently enrolled in Class X and Class XII can apply for the scheme. To qualify, the annual income of the applicant’s parents must be less than ₹2.5 lakh.

Applications must be submitted online through the National Scholarship Portal at https://scholarships.gov.in. The deadline for submission is September 30, 2025.

School and college principals have been instructed to guide students about the required documents. For further information, students may also contact the office of the Assistant Director, Other Backward Bahujan Welfare, Samajik Nyaya Bhavan, Pune.
