Application Filed To Frame Charges Against All Accused In Porsche Accident Case

Pune, 26th November 2024: An application has been filed in court to frame charges against nine individuals accused of tampering with evidence in the Porsche accident case, where a minor was involved. The charges relate to altering blood samples to protect the accused minor.

The application, submitted on Monday (25th November), seeks formal charges and the commencement of trial proceedings. Special Public Prosecutor Shishir Hire presented the application in the court of Special Judge UM Mudholkar.

The accused include builder Vishal Surendrakumar Agarwal, father of the minor; his wife, Shivani Vishal Agarwal; Dr. Ajay Taware, Head of the Forensic Department at Sassoon Hospital; Dr. Shreehari Halnor, Chief Medical Officer of the Emergency Department; ward boy Atul Ghatakamble; Ashpak Makandar, who facilitated financial transactions for the blood sample exchange; Amar Gaikwad; Aditya Avinash Sood, who allegedly replaced the minor’s blood sample with his own; and Ashish Satish Mittal.

Another individual, Arun Kumar Devnath Singh, who allegedly directed Ashish Mittal to donate blood, has not yet been named in the charge sheet. Once charges are filed against Singh, a joint trial will be conducted for all accused.

The police have also filed an application to declare the minor involved in the accident as an adult, enabling criminal charges to be brought against him. This application, along with others related to the seizure of the Porsche car and the minor’s passport, is scheduled to be heard on 31st January 2025.

This high-profile case, involving accusations of evidence tampering and attempts to shield the minor, has drawn significant public and legal attention. The upcoming hearings are expected to provide further clarity on the proceedings.
