Ahmednagar, 31st March 2024: In a bid to enhance support services for serving soldiers, veterans, Veer Naris, and their dependents, a pioneering initiative was unveiled with the inauguration of a Reception and Call Centre at Armoured Corps Records. Major General Vikram Varma, Vishist Seva Medal (Bar), Officer Incharge of Armoured Corps Records and Commandant of Armed Corps Centre and School, officiated the inauguration ceremony on March 21, 2024.

This unique venture aims to streamline grievance redressal processes and cater to pension-related concerns of retired personnel. Equipped with four lines of Internet-based calling, the call centre is poised to provide prompt assistance to individuals seeking assistance. Its dedicated helpline number, 0241 – 2310022, will be operational from 08:30 AM to 02:00 PM on all working days (excluding holidays).

In addition to resolving issues faced by serving soldiers and pensioners, the call centre offers a range of valuable services. Notably, individuals can avail themselves of facilities such as obtaining a Digital Life Certificate through SPARSH, verification under the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), and accessing job opportunities through the Army Welfare Placement Organization.

The establishment of this call centre underscores the commitment of Armoured Corps Records to enhance the well-being and support mechanisms for military personnel and their families. By leveraging technology and centralized communication channels, the initiative aims to foster greater efficiency and accessibility in addressing the needs of the armed forces community.
