Army Jawan From Kolhapur Killed In Ceasefire Violation By Pakistan In Nowshera Sector, Jammu and Kashmir

Pune, November 21, 2020: Today Pakistan Army resorted to an unprovoked ceasefire violation on the line of control (LoC) in Nowshera sector, district Rajouri (Jammu & Kashmir). Indian Army responded strongly to the enemy fire.
In the incident around 1 am in Lam area of Nowshera sector, Hav Sangram Shivaji Patil was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries.
“Hav Patil was a brave, highly motivated and sincere soldier. The nation will always remain indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty”, Army said in a statement.
Hav Patil was a native of Nigave village in Karvir taluka of Kolhapur district. His mortal remains will be brought to the village by late-night today or tomorrow morning.
