Around 2,000 Runners Take Part as Agarwal Samaj Federation-Unchai Sanstha Marathon Concludes in Pune
Pune, 05th January 2026: A marathon jointly organised by the Agarwal Samaj Federation and Unchai Sanstha concluded successfully on Sunday morning at the Savitribai Phule Pune University campus, with around 2,000 participants taking part across multiple race categories.
The event witnessed participation from a wide cross-section of the city, including members of the Agarwal community. Runners from different age groups competed in 10-km, 5-km and 3-km races, enabling participation by both seasoned runners and first-time participants.
Several dignitaries were present during the event, including the Vice-Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University and Pune City Joint Police Commissioner Ranjan Kumar Sharma. Office-bearers of the organising bodies, such as Agarwal Samaj Federation President Krishna Kumar Goyal, Unchai Sanstha President Shyam Goyal, Vice President Vinod Shivnarayan Bansal and Secretary CA K.L. Bansal, along with other community representatives, also attended.

Participants ranged in age from young children to senior citizens, with runners as young as five years and as old as 85 years taking part. The event also recorded participation from women across categories.
At the conclusion of the races, medals were distributed to all participants. The organisers acknowledged the support received from sponsors, volunteers and participating organisations, which contributed to the smooth conduct of the marathon.
