Around 4000 Candidates Register for Professor Recruitment Drive with Pune University

Pune, 15th January 2024: As the new year dawned, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) announced a Professor Recruitment Drive to address the 111 vacant positions across various departments. In a press conference, the Vice-Chancellor of Pune University, Dr Suresh Gosavi, provided updates on the recruitment progress, revealing that as of 15th January, approximately 3890 candidates have registered for the drive.

Out of the registered candidates, 635 have completed and submitted their applications, with 457 applicants fulfilling the submission requirements, including the requisite fee. The Vice-Chancellor expressed optimism, stating that the university anticipates receiving a minimum of 5000 application forms for the recruitment process. Interestingly, candidates from outside the state of Maharashtra have also shown interest in these positions.

The deadline for submitting applications for the 111 vacant posts is set for 31st January 2024. The Vice-Chancellor emphasized the university’s commitment to selecting the most qualified and capable individuals, affirming their dedication to recruiting the best minds for these academic positions.
