Atmanirbhar Bharat in Defence Technology: Army Institute of Technology To Host S2A2I2 Seminar in Pune
Pune, 9th May 2023: Southern Star Army Academia Industry Interface (S2A2I2), a one-day seminar and exhibition, is being organised by ‘the Regional Technology Node’ at the Headquarters Southern Command in collaboration with the Army Institute of Technology, Dighi on 12th May 2023 from 10 am to 5 pm.
The theme of the seminar is ‘Transformation to Atmanirbhar Bharat in Defence Technology’. The event foresees active participation from defence stakeholders, R&D institutes, academia, and private industries and over 150 delegates and 15+ exhibition stalls are anticipated. The event aims to highlight the emerging industrial opportunities in the defence field. The event not only seeks to give an overview of the upcoming technological trends in the defence arena, but also strives to promote tangible interaction with the academia, and industry/startups to develop indigenous defence technology.
The chief guest for the occasion will be Lt Gen AK Singh, AVSM, YSM, SM, VSM GOC-in-C, Southern Comd. The event will witness talks and sessions by eminent personalities such as Lt Gen S S Hasabnis, PVSM, VSM, ADC (Retd), Dr Aditya Abhyankar, Professor & Head, Dept of Technology, SPPU, Pune and Mr.Satish Bharathan, GM of Land Weapon & Engineering Systems wherein various sessions on ‘Emerging Technologies’ will be dwelled upon. A session on ‘Indianising of AI of future’ will also be delivered by President and CEO, Bharat Forge Defence and Aerospace and Scientist-F, DRDO including structured panel discussion with participation from AIT alumni and industry representatives.
