ATMs, net banking closed fearing WannaCry Ransomwere attack

Pune – Several banks have begun closing ATMs and net banking transactions fearing WannaCry Ransomwere attack cyber attack.

Officials said that it will take about two days time to update the ATM security systems.

About 100 countries have been affected by this cyber attack, as the miscreants have taken control of data stored on computer networks and then demanding 300 US dollars to give back the data. They are also asking for payments in bitcoin which is a type of virtual currency and has been gaining acceptability in the last few months.
