Audience entrill by Amazing Flute and Vocal Performance in Sawai

Pune, December 11, 2019 : First day of ‘Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Sangeet Mahotsav 2019’ was concluded by amazing performances of vocalist Archana Kanhere and veteran flute player Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia.

Archana Kanhere started her performance with Raaga Jogkans. She performed three compositions including ‘Sughar var paayo..’, ‘Mandar tero mai aayee..’, ‘Peed parai…’. Followed by Raaga Tilak Kaamod. After that she performed compositions in Zaptaal and Tritaal which include compositions like ‘Tan man maanat kachhu naahi…’, ‘jaa re bhavara jaa…’. She concluded her performance with a famous natyageet ‘He suranno chandra vha…’.

Then Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia started his amazing flute performance with Raaga Hemvatee. He performed compositions in Rupak Taak and Teen Taal. Followed by Raaga Bihag composition in Teen Taal.

‘Swarnayeeka’ Calendar for year 2020 by renowed photographer Sateesh Paknikar and a book ‘Say Sawai’ written by Vijay Kelkar were unveiled at the hands of Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia. Also a book on Pt. Firoj Dastur named as ‘Freddy’ was published at the hands of vocalist Girish Sanzgiri today in the first half.
