Autorickshaw Driver Arrested for Molesting Woman Passenger in Pune
Hadapsar, 28th January 2025: Pune Police have arrested an autorickshaw driver accused of molesting a woman passenger and fleeing the scene. The accused has been identified as Shivshankar Vaijanath Paralikar (21), a resident of Karve Nagar.
According to the complaint filed by the woman at the Hadapsar Police Station, the incident occurred on 24th January when she boarded an autorickshaw at Gadital area of Hadapsar to travel to Manjri. Near the Serum Company road, the driver stopped the vehicle and attempted to act inappropriately. The woman raised an alarm, forcing the driver to flee.
Upon receiving the complaint, Hadapsar police initiated an investigation. They reviewed CCTV footage from the Gadital to Manjari route, which helped identify and trace the accused.
