Babbi Da Dhaba Fined Rs 10000, Sealed For Violating COVID Norms

Pune, 1st May 2021: The officials from the Pune rural police and district administration on Saturday sealed Babbi Da Punjabi Dhaba (restaurant) located on the old Mumbai-Pune highway in Naigaon of Maval taluka for allegedly flouting COVID-19 norms. 

The owner was also fined Rs 10,000 and an FIR has been registered against six persons at Kamshet police station.

According to the police, even after repeated warnings, the dhaba continued to violate the guidelines like serving customers inside the premises as well as not maintaining social distance or using face masks and sanitizer.

Assistant Superintendent of Police (Lonavala division) Navneet Kanwat said that based on the recommendation of Kamshet police station’s in-charge police inspector, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Maval-Mulshi) ordered to seal the Babbi Da Dhaba till the State government declares the lockdown to be over.
