Baby Rescued by Pune Fire Brigade After Getting Trapped on Balcony

Warje, 6th November 2024: Today, around 4:00 PM, a baby became trapped on the second-floor balcony of Anant Apartment in Warje when the door suddenly locked. The Pune Municipal Corporation’s (PMC) Fire Brigade received a call and dispatched a fire vehicle from the Late Vasantrao Arjun Chaudhari Fire Station (Warje Fire Station). Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters found the baby trapped on the second floor, and the parents were in a state of panic.

After communicating with the parents, the firefighters accessed the balcony, used a bolt cutter to break the mesh grill, and safely handed the trapped baby back to the parents. The residents of the building and the baby’s family expressed their gratitude to the firefighters for their quick and effective response.

Drivers Sagar Sonawane and Tandel Shivdas Khutwad, along with firefighters Sanjay Chaure, Manoj Gaikwad, and Vikas Owhal from Warje Fire Station, participated in the rescue operation.
