“Bansuri Parampara Mahotsav” to Resonate This Weekend in Pune

Pune, 14th March 2025: A unique musical festival, Bansuri Parampara Mahotsav, conceived by renowned flautist Pandit Rupak Kulkarni, a senior disciple of Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, will take place this weekend.
Organized by the Pandit Rupak Kulkarni Music Foundation and Blissful Winds Foundation, the festival will be held on Saturday, March 15, and Sunday, March 16, at 6 PM at The Poona Western Club, Bhugaon, Pune.
Now in its second year, the event is open to all music enthusiasts, as announced by Pandit Rupak Kulkarni and Mrugendra Mohadkar from the Blissful Winds Foundation.
Festival Highlights
Day 1: March 15
Vocal performance by Tanishq Arora, disciple of Vidushi Manjusha Patil, accompanied by Dipin Das (tabla) and Akash Naik (harmonium). Flute duet by Mrugendra Mohadkar and Jaikishan Hingu, accompanied by Sapan Anjaria (tabla). Vocal recital by Pandit Raghunandan Panshikar, accompanied by Pandit Bharat Kamat (tabla) and Suyog Kundalkar (harmonium).
Day 2: March 16
A grand flute ensemble featuring 80 disciples, including Padma Vibhushan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia and Pandit Rupak Kulkarni, showcasing the musical journey of four generations. Accompaniment by Pandit Arvindkumar Azad (tabla), Saurabh Gulwani (bass tabla), and Shantanu Pande (keyboard). The event will be compered by Geeta Balsara.
This festival promises to be a rare and mesmerizing experience, bringing together the rich legacy of bansuri music across generations.
