Bhagini Nivedita  Sahakari wins ‘Sahakarnishth’ award

Pune, September 16, 2019: The Bhagini Nivedita Sahakari Bank has won the ‘Sahakarnishth’ award for the year 2017-18 for being the most efficient bank in co-operative sector. This award organized by the state government was presented at the hands of state minister for cooperation, Subhash Deshmukh to the officials of Bhagini Nivedita Sahakari Bank which included Jayashree Kurundwadkar, Chairperson of the bank, Rewati Paithankar, Vice Chairperson, and Smita Deshpande, CEO among others in a function held in Nashik recently.

The bank has contributed Rs. 10,00,000 from its funds toward the Kolhapur and Sangli floods fund relief program, while its staff has donated Rs. 3,50,000. This fund was handed over to the minister at the function.

The bank operated by the all-women staff for all has distributed 15 percent dividend to the customers for last 22 years. Also in past 16 years, the net NPAs of the bank have been 0 percent. The bank has constantly received an ‘A’ Grade in the audits.
