Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Mandar Ambulkar becomes the ‘Junior IT Idol’

Pune, 1st September 2016: Mandar Ambulkar from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Pune turned out to be the ‘SEED IT Idol – Junior’ of the year 2016 amongst 11,800 students who participated in this competition. The third edition of ‘SEED IT Idol Junior’ contest in the field of Information Technology for all the school children of Standard VIII, IX & X was conducted by SEED Infotech Ltd. The final round of this competition was held in the city recently.

The Managing Director and CEO of SEED Infotech Ltd. Mr. Narendra Barhate along with Executive Director Mrs. Bharati Barhate, presented the awards to the winners. Mandar won a cash prize of Rs.5000/- and a trophy along with Medal of Merit, Bag, T-Shirt and a winner’s certificate. Rajesh Vartak – Chief Technology Officer of SEED Infotech Ltd., B.S. Raghu – Country Head Retail Training Services, SEED Infotech Ltd. and Bhairavi Bakhale, winner of ‘SEED IT Idol Junior – 2015’ were also present on this occasion.

The competition was held in three rounds – the first two were Pen & Paper Tests whereas the final round was conducted recently in Pune. Around 11,800 students from 30 schools in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad and Hadpsar participated in this competition. Out of 1700 students who reached the second round, top ten were selected for the final round.

Ashish Deshpande from MES Balshikshan School, Pune turned out to be the 1st runner up winning a cash prize of Rs.3000/- and Arnav Binaykia from Symbiosis International School, Pune became the 2nd runner up winning a cash prize of Rs.2000/- during this competition. They were also awarded with a trophy, Medal of Merit, Bag, T-Shirt and a Winners certificate.
