Bharatnatyam Dance Drama to Unfold ‘Geet Ramayana’ in Pune
Pune, 7th October 2025: Art enthusiasts will be able to experience a unique Bharatnatyam dance drama based on the original musical compositions of ‘Geet Ramayana’, immortalized by the modern-day Valmiki, G. D. Madgulkar, and the renowned music director, Sudhir Phadke.
The Kalasakta Cultural Foundation is organizing this special program, titled ‘Geet Ramayana: Bharatnatyam – An Experiential Dance Drama’, on Sunday, October 12th, at 5:30 PM. The event will take place at the Balshikshan Mandir Auditorium in Mayur Colony. This information was conveyed through a press release by Shrirang Kulkarni, founder of the Kalasakta Cultural Foundation.
The dance drama will depict the life journey of Lord Rama, from his birth to his coronation, presented entirely in the Bharatnatyam style. The concept for the production is by Saudamini Rao, and the narration and compilation have been crafted by Amita Godbole and Kalpana Balaji.
