Bhosari: Citizens Demand Enforcement of ‘No Parking’ Rule on Pune-Nashik Highway

Bhosari, 7th April 2023: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) recently erected ‘No Parking’ signs on the service road of the Pune-Nashik highway from Chandni Chowk to Ankushrao Landge Auditorium Chowk. However, vehicles continue to park under these signs in violation of the rules. The citizens are now questioning when the traffic police will enforce the no parking rule on this road.

A system of even and odd parking was also planned for Alandi Road, but it appears that this plan is not being followed. Currently, the Municipal Corporation is working on beautifying the Pune-Nashik service road under Urban City. As part of this initiative, fruit vendors who had encroached on the road have been rehabilitated under the Rajmata Jijau flyover.

Despite the ‘No Parking’ signs, vendors are also setting up handcarts on the service road, making a mockery of the municipal corporation’s efforts. The citizens are demanding that action be taken against those who are not following the parking rules on the Pune-Nashik service road.

Senior Police Inspector Deepak Salunke of Bhosari stated, “PCMC has planned parking under the Rajmata Jijau flyover in Bhosari. Once this parking system is operational, the ‘No Parking’ rule will be enforced on the service road.”
