Big News For Pune: Chief Minister Approves 40% Discount In Property Taxes
Pune, 17th March 2023: A meeting was held in Mumbai today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to decide on the 40 per cent discount in property tax and the same has been approved.
A concession of 40 per cent was given in property tax and 15 per cent in maintenance. However, in 2018, the government cancelled the five per cent exemption on maintenance and 40 per cent on property tax.
The Municipal Commissioner is empowered to fix reasonable rates of property tax and percentages of other taxes.
