India, 25 April 2020- The central government has permitted to open all kinds of shops from Saturday, giving a big relief to the lakhs of shopkeepers and common people amid the ongoing lockdown from last one month. This includes essential and non-essential goods shops.

Those working in these shops must follow the guidelines issued for lockdown. But shopping malls and market complexes have not been allowed to open.

This order of the Ministry of Home Affairs has come at a time when Ramadan, the holy month of the religion of Islam, is starting from Saturday. After midnight on Friday, the Union Home Ministry amended its order issued on April 15, saying that during the lockdown, all the states and union territories of the country registered under the Shops and Establishment Act and residential in municipal and municipal areas It would be permissible to open single shops as well as shops in the premises and adjacent neighborhood (street neighborhood).

It has also been clarified in the order that only 50 percent of the employees will work in these shops. They have to wear masks and maintain lockdown conditions while maintaining physical distance. The shops of street mohallas, which have been closed since March 24, will open with this decision of the government and which will bring great relief to millions of people. The Ministry has also made it clear that there is no exemption in hotspots and containment zones.
