BigRock Motorsport Dominates Inaugural CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League Race in Pune

Pune, 28th January 2024: The CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) kicked off its first race in Pune, witnessing an overwhelming response from enthusiasts. BigRock Motorsport emerged as the leading team, securing top positions across various categories.

Jordi Tixier from France, representing BB RACING and riding the Honda, claimed victory in the 450 cc international race, captivating the Pune crowd. Australian rider Reid Taylor, part of BigRock Motorsport on the Kawasaki, dominated the 250 cc international race. Adding to the team’s success, Thanarat Penjan from Thailand, riding the Kawasaki, clinched the victory in the 250 cc India-Asia Mix category.

BigRock Motorsport surprised Pune spectators by achieving podium positions in all categories during the first race of the pioneering CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL).

The debut race in Pune featured an impressive lineup of international champions and emerging Indian stars across four categories: 450cc international riders, 250cc international riders, 250cc India-Asia mix, and the fiercely competitive 85cc junior class. With top riders from around the world converging in India, the series aims to establish the country as a focal point for global Supercross.

Veer Patel, Co-founder and Director of the CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League, expressed his excitement at the successful completion of the first race of Season 1. After a spectacular debut in Pune, attracting 10,000 spectators to the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, the league’s action will move to Ahmedabad on February 11 at the EKA Arena, Transstadia. The final event of the CEAT Indian Supercross Racing League is scheduled at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi on February 25, 2024, concluding what promises to be a thrilling season.
