Chinchwad, 16th February 2023: The BJP has received a setback during the by-election campaign for the Chinchwad assembly constituency in Pune district. BJP leader Tushar Kamthe, who was actively campaigning for the party, has resigned from the party. Tushar Kamthe, a resident of Pimpri-Chinchwad, announced his resignation from the party on Tuesday.

Kamthe, who is considered close to BJP MLA Laxman Jagtap, was a member of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. Kamthe’s resignation is being seen as a big blow to the BJP, as he was considered a key figure in the party’s campaign for the by-election.

The by-election for the Chinchwad assembly constituency will be held on February 27. The BJP has fielded former MLA Laxman Jagtap’s daughter-in-law Snehal Jagtap for the by-election. The Shiv Sena has fielded former MLA Vilas Lande’s son, Omkar Lande, for the by-election.”
