BJP Protest Sparks Clash With Student Federation of India At Savitribai Phule Pune University
Pune, 3rd November 2023: Fresh clashes between the Student Federation of India (SFI) and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) unfolded today at Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU). The situation intensified as an altercation broke out between activists from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Student Federation of India.
The conflict originated from ABVP’s call for action against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, evident through graffiti on a hostel building at SPPU. In response, the Bharatiya Janata Party organized a demonstration in front of the university’s main building.
Tensions reached a breaking point, resulting in a clash between BJP activists and SFI members who were registering new members on the university premises. The confrontation escalated with loud sloganeering.

Significant Pune police presence, including officials from Chatushringi police station, Crime Branch, and other units, was deployed to manage the situation.
