BJP Spokeperson Booked By Pune Police For Hurting Religious Sentiments

Pune, 1st June 2022: Kondhwa Police station has registered a case against a Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson for hurting religious sentiments during a news channel discussion on a water fountain or Shivling at Gyanvapi Masjid site in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

Abdul Gafur Ahmed Pathan (47), a resident of Kondhwa has lodged a complaint in this regard at Kondhwa Police Station. Police have registered a case against Nupur Sharma, a BJP spokesperson.

In this regard, according to the information given by the police, the Gyanvapi Mosque was surveyed as per the court order. The report has been filed in the court. It is claimed that there is a Shivling in the place where there is a water fountain in the mosque. A discussion on Gyanvapi Masjid was organized on a news channel. Nupur Sharma has been accused of hurting the religious sentiments in this discussion. Sub-Inspector of Police Machale is investigating the incident
